Unai Emery wants Mesut Ozil to work harder

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly urged Mesut Ozil to work harder on the playing field in order to claim a regular starting role under his guidance.
The German has previously been criticised for the lack of commitment on the pitch but it appears that Emery won't entertain a similar kind of workrate with his high-pressing approach.
According to The Mirror, the Spanish head coach has told Ozil to show an improvement in his intensity on the field of play or else risk being dropped to the substitutes' bench.
Ozil was absent during the recent 3-1 league win over West Ham United whereby some reports suggested that there had been a training ground rift between him and the manager.
Emery has since refuted those claims by claiming that the World Cup winner was only ill and was excluded from the matchday squad under the recommendation of the club's medical team.
