Quincy Promes moves to Sevilla

Quincy Promes, last season's Russian league top goalscorer, has moved from Spartak Moscow to Spanish giants Sevilla in a deal worth a reported 30 million euros. The 26-year-old Dutch-born forward will be an important part of the Sevillista's challenge for Champions League football qualification this season.

Sevilla have beaten the likes of Southampton, Marseille and AC Milan in their successful move to sign Quincy Promes, who had scored 59 goals in 115 games for the Russian giants.

Quincy Promes had previously played for FC Twente prior to his move to Russia.

“Taking into consideration Promes’ desire to test his skills in one of the world’s strongest leagues and his huge contribution into the red-white club’s success, Spartak management accepted the offer of Sevilla,” a Spartak statement said.

The Dutch international has scored 5 goals in 28 games for the Netherlands and will be hoping that his plaudits in Spain will guarantee him regular first-team football for his country.

Quincy Promes has reportedly signed a contract worth 95,000 euros per week and has put pen to paper on a deal until 2022 with the Spanish club.
