Tottenham keeping tabs on Leicester defender
Tottenham Hotspur are monitoring Leicester City English defender Ben Chilwell, according to the Telegraph.
The England international earned his first call-up to the Three Lions last Sunday, upgrading from the Under-21s.
Tottenham are not likely to make a bid for him in January as they are expected to wait until at least next summer before doing so.
After making 24 Premier League appearances last season, he has appeared in all the club's four fixtures this term.
If Chilwell can continue impressing for Leicester, it will not be easy for Spurs to sign him with the 2016 league champions forming a strong resistance to selling players they want to keep after holding on to Harry Maguire despite interest from Manchester United.
Leicester have won two and lost the rest of their opening four league games this term, leaving them in 8th position.
After failing to sign any player during the summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to avoid the same lack of activities in future and are reportedly interested in Dutchman Frenkie de Jong.
