Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has suggested that Manchester United are not looking at the prospect of offloading Paul Pogba in the January transfer window.

The France international has witnessed a strained relationship with manager Jose Mourinho since the season began and of late, there have been suggestions that he could push for an exit at the turn of the year.

In a report covered by The Times, Bartomeu refused to rule out the potential move for Pogba in the future but hinted United may not necessarily agree upon their approach.

"I read these rumours - not just Pogba but a lot of players. Most of the teams don't want to sell their players. They want to grow," he is quoted as saying by The Times.

Pogba played through 71 minutes of the recent 3-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United but it remains to be seen whether he will start against Valencia in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday night.
