Liverpool, Manchester United in race to sign Arsenal midfielder
Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly considering moves for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Wales international has just nine months left on his current deal with the north London giants and reports have indicated that the Gunners do not plan to extend his contract.
As such, the 27-year-old has caught the eye of several top European clubs and according to London Evening Standard, both Liverpool and United could lodge potential bids for the Welshman at the turn of the year.
Ramsey, who nearly joined United in the summer of 2008, has been with the Gunners for over a decade where he has contributed over 50 goals and 50 assists across all competitions.
With his deal expiring next summer, the midfielder is free to discuss a pre-contract with an overseas club in January but the Gunners are likely to cash in on his services to avoid a similar situation to Jack Wilshere's last season.
