Alcacer to stay with Borussia

Borussia Dortmund's on loan Spanish striker Paco Alcacer will extend his stay with the club and sign a permanent deal at the end of the season. Alcacer is currently with the Bundesliga giants on a temporary basis from parent club Barcelona.

Alcacer, who has helped guide Dortmund to the top of the German top flight so far this year, has been in electric form for both club and country and the Bundesliga side have been quick to sign the forward on a permanent basis.

Earlier in the week, Paco Alcacer had told reporters that he would like to extend his stay in Germany for the foreseeable future and a deal now looks to have been reached with Barca.

Dortmund has the option to sign Paco Alcacer on a permanent 23 million euro deal and that transfer will be rubber-stamped in the upcoming January transfer window after the club's board approved a transfer deal for the Spaniard.

Alcacer will join Borussia despite interest from Italy's top clubs, with both Juventus and AC Milan reportedly monitoring the striker's progress in recent weeks.
