Davide Zappacosta heading for Chelsea exit?

Davide Zappacosta could reportedly be heading for a winter exit from Stamford Bridge with Napoli prepared to make an approach for his signature.

The 26-year-old joined the Blues from Torino in the summer of 2017 and made 35 appearances for the club across all competitions during his maiden campaign.

However, he has struggled for gametime this term with just three appearances whilst he has managed just six minutes in the club's Premier League campaign.

According to Rai Sport, the Naples outfit are closely monitoring the proceedings of the Italy international and could make an approach at the turn of the year.

Chelsea were interested in a deal for Napoli's first-choice right-back Elseid Hysaj during the previous transfer window and the Serie A club's interest in Zappacosta may witness them open up discussions over a probable swap.

Napoli have struggled to keep up with Juventus during the early phase of the Serie A season and they are currently six points behind the Bianconeri, who are leading the standings.
