Chelsea open contract talks with French midfielder
Chelsea have reportedly opened contract negotiations with French midfielder N'Golo Kante amid the ongoing interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
The France international still has nearly three years left on his existing deal with the Blues signed while joining them from Leicester City in 2016.
Despite this, there have been many occasions where Les Parisiens have sought for the midfielder, who has previously revealed the approach from the French giants.
According to The Mirror, the Blues are concerned about Kante being lured to his hometown in the near future and they are now prepared to offer him a bumper contract to fend off any interest from Les Parisiens.
Kante has been ever-present for the Blues under the tutelage of Maurizio Sarri this campaign, though he has found himself playing a slightly advanced position on the field.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are presently second in the Premier League standings and they are behind league leaders Manchester City by virtue of only goal difference.
