Arsenal interested in Chelsea midfielder

Arsenal are reportedly plotting a winter attempt to bring out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek to the Emirates Stadium.

The England international enjoyed a good spell with Crystal Palace on loan last term and this earned him a spot with the national team for the summer World Cup.

Thereafter, the 23-year-old was tipped to pursue a fresh challenge away from Stamford Bridge to enhance his gametime but surprisingly he decided to stay put and fight for his position.

According to ESPN, the Englishman is said to regret the decision to remain with the west London outfit and is prepared to push for a winter departure with Arsenal among those interested.

However, the Blues are only said to fancy a temporary exit for their club graduate and this should put the Gunners out of contention for the versatile midfielder.

Loftus-Cheek could still attract some Premier League interest with ex-club Palace and Everton said to be vying for a short-term loan until the end of the season.
