Ibrahimovic on Real Madrid radar?

Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly emerged as a shock target for Real Madrid for the winter transfer window.

The 37-year-old was released from the Red Devils during the backend of the previous campaign and he thereafter made the switch to the MLS with Los Angeles Galaxy.

Since then, the veteran has not put a foot wrong with 22 goals and seven assists from just 27 matches and his effort has put Galaxy in contention to reach the playoffs.

According to Cadena COPE, Ibrahimovic could be handed a surprise return to the Spanish La Liga, eight years after he parted ways with Barcelona in a rather bitter fashion.

It is added that Real Madrid are supposedly the candidates vying for his signature as they look for a short-term fix upfront for their goalscoring woes this term.

The reigning European champions recently endured a dreaded spell after going nearly 500 minutes without finding the scoresheet and they are presently on a five-match winless run across all competitions.
