Willian explains his Chelsea contract situation
Brazil international and Chelsea midfielder Willian has revealed his plans once his contract at the Stamford Bridge side ends in 2020. Willian has told reporters that he has no plans to leave Europe once his current deal ends, and could even eventually seek a move back to his home country of Brazil.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk man, who left Brazil 11 years ago for the Ukraine, is hugely popular at Chelsea and is rumoured to be considering a fresh deal with the club.
“I have a great affection for Corinthians, a club where I was revealed, I joined the club at the age of nine, I have a lot of friends at the club, I know a lot of people, I’ve always been a corintiano since I was a kid,” Willian told Fox Sports.
“To finish my career at Corinthians would be nice, but it’s not my idea to go back to Brazil, I don’t know if I want to play in Brazil again.
"I’m very good here in Europe, I intend to continue here.”
