Manchester United to shell out £60m for England international
Manchester United could reportedly retain their interest in signing Leicester City's Harry Maguire when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Red Devils were hot on the trail of the Foxes defender during the summer but a deal never materialised after they failed to make his £70m asking price.
Since then, Maguire has gone on to commit his future to the Foxes on a fresh five-year contract but this has not nullified the speculation regarding his position with the club.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils are prepared to make a fresh attempt in the New Year and they are hoping that a fee of around £60m would tempt the Foxes into a sale.
Should this not be the case, they are prepared to wait for the central defender until the summer regardless of whether Jose Mourinho remains at the helm or not.
Maguire, who joined the Foxes from Hull City during the summer of 2017, has recently indicated that he would consider a big-club move at some stage in his professional career.
