Loftus-Cheek to leave Chelsea on loan?

England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek will reportedly seek to push for a temporary challenge away from Chelsea when the transfer window reopens.

The midfielder had an impressive loan stint with Crystal Palace during the previous campaign and his performances earned him a role with England for the summer World Cup.

However, since returning to Stamford Bridge, he has not enjoyed similar kind of success and this has largely come about from the inability to claim a regular role in the Premier League.

According to The Times, the midfielder is likely to push for a loan exit at the turn of the year, having managed just three substitute appearances in the top-flight this time around.

Loftus-Cheek has enjoyed better success in the Europa League after scoring his first-ever professional hat-trick against BATE Borisov but he is more concerned about his developments in terms of league action.

Crystal Palace are reported to be keen on re-signing the young Englishman but they could face stiff challenge from abroad with Schalke 04 likely to revive their interest after a failed summer pursuit.
