Arsenal ready to sell Mohamed Elneny?

Elneny set for winter Gunners exit?

Arsenal are reportedly considering the sale of midfielder Mohamed Elneny in January with manager Unai Emery seeking to recoup funds to pursue a new recruit.

The Egypt international has been with the Gunners for nearly three years and during this period, he has made nearly over 75 appearances across all competitions for the club.

However, the current campaign has been a tough one for him with not a single minute of Premier League action to date and a report from The Sun claims that he could head through the exit door this winter.

Elneny, who is currently recovering from a thigh problem, only signed a new long-term deal under the guidance of ex-boss Arsene Wenger in March but he has not quite grabbed the attention of Emery.

The former Basel man's departure is likely to coincide with the purchase of a new midfielder and reports indicate that Villareal's Pablo Fornals is the prime target to replace the Egyptian.
