Arsenal boss keen on signing La Liga midfielder

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has reportedly earmarked Villareal's Pablo Fornals as a probable option to reinforce the midfield when the transfer window reopens.
The Spanish tactician pursued the likes of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi during the summer to bolster the midfield and the duo have since impressed with their performances.
Despite this, The Sun reports that Emery could recruit a third midfielder in the New Year by seeking to trigger the £17.8m release clause in the contract of Fornals.
The reports that the Gunners may seek to raise transfer funds from a probable sale with Mohamed Elneny said to be the prime candidate who could be shown the exit door.
Fornals joined the Yellow Submarines from Malaga in the summer of 2017 and he has since been effective with seven goals from 63 appearances across all competitions.
Arsenal return from the international break with a Premier League fixture on the road to Bournemouth. The Gunners have drawn their last three league matches.
