Arsenal, Chelsea interested in want-away Manchester United midfielder
Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly among the leading clubs looking into a potential move for Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira in January.
Pereira was hugely impressive for the Red Devils in pre-season and this earned him his first Premier League start for the club during the curtain raiser against Leicester City.
However, he has since started just one more game against Brighton & Hove Albion on the road where Jose Mourinho's team suffered a rather surprising 3-2 defeat and this has increased the speculation regarding his club future.
According to The Mirror, Pereira is presently attracting interest from abroad with his contract expiring in eight months' time but he is said to have the ambition of prolonging his Premier League stay.
Owing to this, the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are supposedly planning moves for the Brazilian at the turn of the year, though it remains unclear whether United would consider a mid-season sale to a direct league rival.
Pereira is currently contracted to United until the summer of 2019 but they have the additional option of an extension clause to prolong his deal for another 12 months.
