Chelsea are reportedly prepared to sell midfielder Cesc Fabregas to AC Milan on a cut-price deal when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

The 31-year-old has managed less than 60 minutes of league action during the first half of the current campaign and this has increased speculation over his future with his contract expiring next summer.

According to The Sun, Fabregas was initially fancied to leave the Bridge at the end of the season but the Blues have now given the Spaniard the green light to pursue a fresh challenge in the New Year.

The report adds that the Rossoneri are prepared to pay a fee in the region of £10m for the former Arsenal man as they seek to boost their prospects of returning to the Champions League next term.

Fabregas has yet to make a Premier League start for the Blues this season with most of his gametime coming in the Europa League and League Cup matches where Maurizio Sarri has offered chances to fringe players.
