Chelsea plan fresh attempt to sign Maurizio Sarri favourite
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen on reuniting with AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain after failing to sign him during the summer transfer window.
The Italian had been keen on recruiting the marksman before the start of the season but Higuain joined the Rossoneri from Juventus instead with the Blues' hierarchy not expressing much interest.
The Argentine has since fared decently with five goals for the Serie A side but according to The Mail, he is not entirely pleased with his position at the club. As such, the Blues are being fancied to make a fresh approach for the former Napoli man, although it remains to be seen whether the Rossoneri would entertain a mid-season sale.
Gennaro Gattuso' side agreed to sign the Argentine on a two-year loan from Juventus last summer with the obligation to buy and it will be interesting to see whether they are prepared to sign him permanently next month with the means of making an instant profit with a sale to Chelsea.
