Pep Guardiola insists Liverpool are still favourites for the Premier League title
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has said that Liverpool remain the favourites for the Premier League crown despite only managing a goalless draw against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds were playing their game in hand against United at Old Trafford and they had the opportunity to go three points clear of the holders by picking up a victory.
However, that was simply not the case with United frustrating them for the entire 90 minutes and they managed to only secure a single point advantage over the Citizens on the table.
Speaking after the League Cup final triumph over Chelsea, Guardiola said that he had only listened to updates from the Reds clash which ended in a goalless draw.
He added that the Merseyside giants remain favourites for the title despite the reduction in the point deficit when compared to the beginning of the year.
He told Sky Sports: "I don't know how the game was. We are closer. A time ago we were seven points behind and now it is one point. Still they are leading and still they are the favourites."
