Barcelona quote transfer fee for Denis Suarez's permanent move

Barcelona have reportedly quoted a £17.3m package for Arsenal, if they are to pursue the permanent signing of Denis Suarez during the summer transfer window.

The Catalan giants permitted Suarez to join the Gunners on a short-term loan before the winter transfer deadline but the Spaniard has yet to make his maiden start for the club.

Nonetheless, Marca reveals that the Spanish champions have requested a £17.3m sum for a permanent transfer in the summer, although it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will trigger the option to buy.

Suarez has been restricted to just bench appearances since his winter move but he could receive more gametime in the forthcoming weeks with the Gunners having to juggle between league and European action.

Arsenal recently bagged a 2-0 league triumph over Southampton at the Emirates Stadium and the victory helped them return to the fourth position in the standings after Manchester United stumbled against Liverpool with a goalless draw.
