Inter Milan keen on landing Manchester United defender

Matteo Darmian news

Darmian heading out of United this summer?

Inter Milan are reportedly planning to revive their long-term interest in Manchester United's Matteo Darmian when the current season comes to a close.

The Italy international has been linked with the Nerazzurri in recent transfer windows but they have failed to meet United's £20m valuation for the versatile full-back.

Still, they have continued to hold an interest in the Italy international and according to Calciomercato, they are prepared to make a renewed approach at the end of the season.

Darmian's current contract expires in the summer of 2020 and it is suggested that United may eventually accept a cut-price deal for the services of the former Torino ace.

Inter recently boosted the right side of the defence with the loan signing of Cedric Soares from Southampton but they are unlikely to make a permanent move for the Portuguese in the summer.

Juventus and Napoli have also been credited with an interest in Darmian, but Inter are leading the race after offering him the assurance of a regular starting position.
