Manchester United plan Ole Gunnar Solskjaer contract talks

Ole set for permanent United stay

Manchester United are prepared to hold discussions over a permanent contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shortly after the weekend's league game at Arsenal.

The Norwegian footballer was recruited by the Red Devils on an interim basis in December following the sacking of Jose Mourinho and he has since helped spark a tremendous turnaround for the Mancunian giants.

United are currently occupying the fourth position in the standings after a lengthy unbeaten run and that form has been demonstrated in other competitions with the team already through to the quarter finals of the FA Cup and Champions League.

According to The Record, the club's hierarchy are scheduled to hold negotiations with Ole regarding a permanent deal on Monday where they will present to him with a four-year contract.

The United favourite is widely expected to sign the deal which should see him earn around £7.5m-a-year. Surprisingly, that sum would remain just over 50 percent of what ex-boss Mourinho was paid at the club.
