Sevilla attacker turned down Chelsea transfer

Sarabia rejected Chelsea move

Sevilla attacker Pablo Sarabia is reportedly to have snubbed the chance to join Chelsea during the 2019 winter transfer window.

The Spaniard has been in impressive form for Sevilla during the ongoing campaign and he has already registered 19 goals and 13 assists across all competitions.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Blues are said to have approached to sign the attacker during the recent transfer window but the Spaniard decided to decline the offer.

Sarabia, who has also been associated with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, currently has a contract in Seville until the summer of 2020 and he is likely to assess his future at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are restricted from signing players due to the two-window transfer ban from FIFA despite making an appeal to the Court of Arbitration of Sport regarding the same.

The west London giants were hopeful of pursuing new recruits with an appeal pending, but FIFA have surprisingly declined them the chance to do so unlike other sides in the past.
