Real Madrid increasingly confident of signing Chelsea star

Real Madrid are reportedly confident of securing a big-money transfer for Chelsea's Eden Hazard when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The Belgian has been a long-term target for Los Blancos and his prospects of joining the club have increased with the recent return of Zinedine Zidane at the helm.

According to Sky Sports News, the outgoing European champions are close to securing the signature of the 28-year-old, who has just 15 months remaining on his current deal with the Blues.

The Blues are presently under a two-window transfer ban from signing new players, but they remain hopeful that they can freeze the embargo for the forthcoming summer at the least.

The FA Cup holders have already turned down a package worth £60m from Los Blancos for the former Lille graduate, and reports indicate that they want at least £100m to consider his probable sale in the summer.

Hazard is currently enjoying his best-ever Premier League season with the Blues and he has contributed 14 goals and 12 assists. He is scheduled to feature against West Ham United on Monday night.
