De Gea frustrated with United situation

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea is said to have become 'increasingly frustrated' at Manchester United amid their refusal to match his contract demands.

The Spaniard has just 14 months remaining on his current deal with the Red Devils and so far, the club have shown no indication that they would be willing to match his requirements.

According to The Times, the shot-stopper is presently unsettled at the Mancunian outfit with the club yet to give the green light regarding the contract extension.

De Gea is currently understood to demand a £350,000-a-week package, but the board have highlighted that they are unlikely to come close to that figure.

In this case, the 28-year-old could be sold when he enters the final year of his contract in the summer and reports indicate that Paris Saint-Germain and former suitors Real Madrid could make enquiries for his services.

Aside from De Gea, United are also in contract standoffs with Mata and Herrera and the duo appear set to be released from the club when their deals expires in two months' time.
