Blackburn waiting on Bentley
Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams is confident of securing a new contract for midfielder David Bentley. The former Arsenal winger has been the subject of interest already this year from Chelsea and Liverpool.
Williams told BBC Radio Lancashire: "There is no problem as far as I can foresee.
"We have a number of contracts ongoing and as far as I'm concerned there's no bad news on the horizon.
"I have no reason to believe at this moment in time that we won't secure the services of the players we want.
"Most of our players I'm pleased to say are under contract for a good amount of time but sometimes it's appropriate to try and renew those."
