United still open to Herrera contract talks

Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost in their quest to commit midfielder Ander Herrera to a new long-term contract.

The Spaniard has just over two months left on his existing deal with the club and so far, they have failed to reach an agreement over a suitable wage package for the extension.

Amidst this, Paris Saint-Germain have been fancied to sign Herrera on a free transfer but according to Paris Team, there are still uncertainties whether the move will be finalised.

It is further added that the club's sporting director Antero Henrique has become annoyed by the situation with the midfielder opting to delay the discussions until the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain are currently aiming to balance their books to meet the Financial Fair Play regulations and they are aiming to pursue Herrera on a Bosman to stay within the requirements.

Herrera has made 187 appearances for Manchester United to date.
