Manchester United enter race to sign in-form Ligue 1 winger
Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign highly-rated winger Nicolas Pepe from Lille at the end of the season.
The Ivorian has been the subject of interest from Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks but it appears that the Red Devils have joined the pursuit.
According to The Express, the Mancunian giants have been keeping a close eye on the proceedings of the attacker and they could be prepared to make a summer offer worth £60m to acquire his services.
Pepe has been the second-best player behind Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe in terms of contribution this term and he has bagged 20 goals and 11 assists for Lille across all competitions.
The player's agent has previously indicated that a summer departure appears a likely option, but it remains to be seen whether the winger would prefer joining a club without the assurance of Champions League football.
United are currently three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, and their chances of progressing to the elite competition appear bleak unless the Blues stumble in one of the final two games.
Still, they need to recover an eight-goal difference between the sides and that remains a hefty task irrespective of their winnable fixtures against Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City.
