Liverpool handed major injury boost ahead of Barcelona game
Liverpool have been handed a key fitness boost ahead of the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash against Barcelona on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian was excluded from the matchday squad for the recent 5-0 triumph over Huddersfield Town with a muscle tear and it was feared that he could be sidelined for the season.
However, according to The Mirror, the marksman has been tipped to return to training ahead of the midweek European clash and Jurgen Klopp could feature him from the off, if he goes unscathed through that session.
The Reds face Barcelona on the road during the opening leg of their Champions League semi-final, and the focus will lie on getting the away goal which could make a huge difference.
Still, they need to be wary of the Blaugrana frontline and Lionel Messi, in particular, who has flourished through the campaign with 46 goals and a further 16 assists across all competitions.
Jurgen Klopp's side have yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels in Europe unlike at Anfield, where they have restricted the opposition from finding the scoresheet.
