Arsenal to swoop for Chelsea defender?
Arsenal have reportedly earmarked Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma as a potential candidate to bolster their defence during this summer's transfer window.
The Frenchman has struggled to become a regular with the Blues in the past few seasons and he is currently on a season-long loan with Premier League side Everton.
According to The Sun, the Gunners are monitoring the situation of the 24-year-old, who has enjoyed a top season in Merseyside under manager Marco Silva.
The Toffees are already said to be planning a permanent offer to pursue the Frenchman, but it appears that they could face competition from Unai Emery's men.
Zouma is currently valued in the region of £30m but reports indicate that the Gunners may have to pay more than the player's asking price due to their rivalry with the Blues.
Zouma has featured in 30 Premier League games for the Toffees this term. He has recently starred in victories over the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United in the top-flight.
