Ruben Loftus-Cheek speaks on his Chelsea future
Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that he has no reason for parting ways with the Blues when the current season comes to a close.
The England international endured a frustrating opening half to the season where he struggled to command regular gametime in the top-flight.
However, his fortunes have changed in the backend where he has been a regular figure in the centre of the park and the midfielder has now indicated that a summer departure is unlikely to occur.
In a report covered by Evening Standard, Loftus-Cheek highlighted that he is content at the club and it is up to his representative to sort out a new contract beyond the summer of 2021.
"I'm not sure. I'm not sure. I let my agent deal with it (contract talks). I'm not thinking about that right now. It's important for me to focus on the here and now, and I'm playing right now," he said.
He added that he has no reason to part ways with the west London side now that he has been assured of gametime under Sarri, he told: "It's looking good, so there's no reason why I should think about leaving Chelsea."
Loftus-Cheek is expected to feature for the Blues when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt at the semi-final stage of the Europa League. They hold an away goal advantage after the 1-1 draw in Frankfurt.
