Manchester United quoted Philippe Coutinho transfer price

Manchester United have reportedly been told that they have to pay up a sum of around £86m to lure Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer.

The Brazil international joined the Blaugrana from Liverpool at the beginning of 2018 after they paid an initial fee in the region of £105m.

However, the 26-year-old has since struggled to impress in the Spanish top-flight and he has managed to find the scoresheet on just five occasions through the current campaign.

According to AS, the Red Devils are one of the clubs interested in signing the playmaker at the end of the season and the Blaugrana could be prepared to sell for a fee in the region of £86m.

Coutinho has formerly featured for Premier League giants Liverpool, who are fierce rivals with United and it remains to be seen whether the player would fancy the switch due to his previous association with the Reds.

The Brazilian recently featured for the Blaugrana in their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool where they suffered a shock exit after conceding four goals without reply at Anfield.
