Mesut Ozil's agent assures Arsenal fans regarding midfielder's future
The agent of Mesut Ozil has indicated that the German playmaker has no plans of leaving Arsenal for the remainder of his ongoing contract.
The 30-year-old has struggled for consistency since penning a club-record deal in early 2018 and this has generated plenty of criticism from a section of the supporters.
However, speaking to Turkish Football, representative Erkut Sogut has clarified that the German is committed to the Gunners and will honour the remainder of his current contract at the least.
He told: "His mind is focused on Arsenal, and Arsenal only. Mesut bleeds Arsenal red, and respecting his contract is a certainty. He'll be staying at Arsenal until at least 2021, and the fans need not to worry about the gossip."
Ozil has not enjoyed the best of campaigns with the north London side and he has managed just six goals and three assists over the course of the current campaign.
Still, he has emerged as a regular under Unai Emery during the final months of the season and it appears that the Spaniard has been pleased with the display from the former World Cup winner.
