Mesut Ozil speaks on his Arsenal future amid speculation
Former Germany international Mesut Ozil has indicated that he has no plans of leaving Arsenal this summer and he is committed for the remainder of his current contract.
The 30-year-old penned a fresh three-and-a-half year deal with the Gunners at the beginning of 2018 but his performances have since dipped to the point that he has been criticised by a section of the Gunners faithful.
Ozil's agent Erkut Sogut recently clarified that the midfielder will honour the next two years of his Gunners deal and the German has come up with a similar statement when asked about his future.
"I don't think there's a chance of [leaving] to be honest. I've got two more years here and what happens afterwards is not in my hands. We'll see then, but I'm proud to be at this club and really happy at this club," he told DAZN Dach.
Ozil has been a regular from the starting lineup in the past few months under Unai Emery. He is widely expected to start during this month's Europa League final against Chelsea in Baku.
