Manchester United were reportedly keeping tabs on the performance of Joao Felix once more during Benfica's 4-1 triumph over Santa Clara which secured them the league title.

The teenager has emerged as one of the hottest properties in Europe and he has already played a direct part in 26 goals for the Portuguese giants in the current season alone.

According to The Star, United are said to hold a long-term interest in the attacker and they had their scouts at the Estadio da Luiz to track the youngster, who was on the scoresheet.

The publication adds that the club are now weighing up a potential approach but they face strong competition with interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Juventus.

Atletico Madrid are the other side in the running for the Portuguese and reports indicate that they could have the edge over the rest as they could be prepared to stump most of the fees from Antonio Griezmann's anticipated sale to sign him.
