Manchester United make contact with Europa League winner?

Manchester United have reportedly made contact with the entourage of Antoine Griezmann, who is expected to leave Atletico Madrid during this summer's transfer window.

The Frenchman has already announced that he would be leaving Atleti this summer and reports have previously indicated that Barcelona are leading the race for his services.

According to The Independent, the Blaugrana are yet to make any formal approach to Atleti for the attacker's services and this has offered United with a chance of landing him.

The same publication suggests that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain hold no interest in the World Cup winner and that puts United as the main challengers to the Blaugrana for the Frenchman's signature.

Griezmann has been linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past few years. He had been heavily backed to join them in the summer of 2017 but he made a U-turn after Atleti's transfer ban was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
