Manchester United to swoop for Paris Saint-Germain defender?

United in for Thomas Meunier

Manchester United have reportedly switched their focus to signing Thomas Meunier from Paris Saint-Germain after being priced out of a move for Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils have been tipped to pursue a right-sided defender this summer with Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia due to part ways with the club while Ashley Young has shown a dip in his performance levels.

In the past few weeks, Wan-Bissaka has been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford but his £70m price tag has put off the Red Devils from making an approach.

Instead, the club seem to have switched their attention to signing Thomas Meunier with the Belgian said to be available for around £25m this summer, The Mail claims.

Meunier has been in-and-out of the starting lineup in the past 12 months at Parc des Princes and it is claimed that Les Parisiens could cash in on his services, should the defender decline an extension.

The Belgian currently has just over a year left on his contract.
