David Silva to depart Man City?
Premier League title-winning midfielder David Silva has been informed that he can leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, despite the Spanish star leading his club to a fourth Premier League title in 8 years. Silva has been linked with a move to the Middle East, with a transfer to Qatar in a mega-money deal being considered.
According to multiple reports, 33-year-old Silva is amongst the players likely to leave Pep Guardiola's side in a summer shake-up this summer. Vincent Kompany, the club's former captain, will also depart and head to Anderlecht as player-manager at the end of his contract with City.
Silva himself is said to be very interested in staying with the club for a further 12 months, but it is believed City have identified other targets as replacements, with Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans amongst those being considered. The young Belgian was in excellent form for Leicester City last season.
Silva already has one year remaining on his deal and Guardiola is known to want to revamp his squad this summer, but Spaniard Silva's future is currently unknown.
