Luka Jovic joins Real Madrid

Real Madrid have completed a move for striker Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt. The striker, who had a sensational season for his club, helping the German side to the Europa League semi-finals, has signed a six year contract with the La Liga giants.

Jovic bagged 17 goals in the Bundesliga last season and captured the attention of multiple European sides but eventually opted for a move to Spain.

Real Madrid have paid 65 million euros to complete the transfer of the striker.

Speaking to the press, sporting director of Frankfurt and former player Fredi Bobic said of the move: “From a sporting point of view selling Luka Jovic is a big blow. His explosiveness and capacity to score goals propelled us into Europe and we have benefited from more than just his goals in the past two years. “But it was clear that there was a limit to what kind of bid we could refuse. For Eintracht Frankfurt this is a good and important transfer. We wish Luka all the best in the future. He has all the attributes to have a great career. And we are proud that we have supported him on his way.”
