Danish international midfielder Christian Eriksen has informed reporters that he is ready to leave Tottenham. Eriksen, who has been with Spurs for 6 years, could leave for a fee of around 85 million euros.

Many of Europe's top clubs have been chasing Eriksen and will be delighted to hear that the attacking midfielder has effectively put himself on the market for a transfer this summer.

Eriksen has admitted that he would like a new challenge and would leave for a "bigger project", paving the way for a proposed move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid, both of whom have been given a massive 250 million euro transfer budget this summer.

"If I have to go, then hopefully it will be a step up," Eriksen said to Danish publication 27.

"I feel that I am a place in my career where I might want to try something new.

"I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened in Tottenham.

"But in football you do not know when clarification comes. It can happen any time."

It is understood that Eriksen had planned to stay at White Hart Lane should the club secure European glory, but after the bitter defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League final has decided his future lies elsewhere.
