Donnarumma on United radar

Manchester United have reportedly earmarked AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma as a potential replacement for contract rebel David de Gea.

De Gea has just finished his eighth season at United but there remains speculation over his future with his contract expiring in 12 months' time.

According to Corriere dello Sport, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears keen on pursuing another top-class shot-stopper, should the club part ways with De Gea during the transfer window.

The same publication claims that Donnarumma has been identified as the prime target with the Italian possessing plenty of first-team experience despite his tender age.

Donnarumma has just crossed his 20th birthday but he has garnered plenty of big game experience with 160 appearances for the Rossoneri in all competitions.

He has two years remaining on his current contract but sources suggest that he could be available for around £44m this summer after the club's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
