Manchester United approach for Barcelona midfielder
Manchester United have reportedly made a formal enquiry to Barcelona to know the asking price for Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
Rakitic has been with the Blaugrana for the past five seasons and he ended the most recent campaign with five goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Despite this, his future has come under question with the expected arrival of Frenkie de Jong and there have been suggestions that he could pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.
According to SPORT, the Red Devils have made contact with the Blaugrana for Rakitic, who could be heading through the Camp Nou exit door to raise funds for new additions.
Rakitic has personally rejected claims that he wants to leave the Catalan giants this summer but reports have indicated that he could be compelled to do so with a starting role far from guaranteed.
Aside from United, Inter Milan have also been associated with the services of the former Sevilla man, who has two years remaining on his existing deal with Barcelona.
