Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri agrees deal to join Juventus

Sarri set to join Juventus

Chelsea are reportedly set to part ways with manager Maurizio Sarri with Juventus seemingly close to appointing him as their new head coach.

The Italian has been strongly tipped to join the Bianconeri in the past few weeks with his representative in regular contact with the Blues to finalise the deal.

According to BBC Sport, an agreement has been reached between both sides for Sarri and the Blues are due a compensation fee of £5m to sanction the deal.

The west London giants have yet to pursue a successor to the Italian but widespread reports claim that club legend Frank Lampard is the favourite for the job.

The former Blues star recently completed his first full season in management at Derby County in the Championship, where the Rams missed out on promotion through a play-off final.

Lampard has remained quiet with regards to the speculation linking him with the Blues but reports suggest that the club hierarchy have already opened up discussions over his comeback as a manager.
