Manchester United to offer Andreas Pereira to land Leicester City star?
Manchester United have reportedly proposed a player-plus-cash deal to Leicester City as they seek to secure the signature of Harry Maguire this summer.
The Red Devils are keen on pursuing a central defender during the current transfer window and Maguire has been earmarked as one of the top targets following their failure to land his signature 12 months earlier.
According to The Sun, United remain reluctant to match the Foxes' £80m price tag for the centre-back and they are hoping to reduce the valuation with a player-plus-cash deal proposal.
The same publication reveals that Andreas Pereira is the likely candidate to be added as the makeweight, considering the Brazilian has just one year remaining on his existing deal with the team.
Meanwhile, Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is understood to have approached United to sign Pereira for Celtic in the past and the 46-year-old may yet hold an interest in signing the versatile 23-year-old midfielder.
