Rodri to turn down Bayern Munich for Man City

Rodri to move to Man City?

Pep Guardiola will wrap up a deal to sign impressive Spanish midfielder Rodri this summer, in a deal that is likely to end Manchester City's summer transfer activity. It is understood that Guardiola is happy with his current squad and just wants to add defensive mettle to his side and is delighted that Rodri has elected to move to the Premier League instead of the Bundesliga.

Rodri has been in stunning form in recent years for Atletico Madrid, and despite coach Diego Simeone's best efforts to keep the defensive midfielder with the La Liga side, it appears City will be paying 65 million euros to secure the signature of one of Europe's most highly rated midfielders.

Reports from Germany suggested that Bayern Munich has missed out on a deal for Rodri, with the player electing to move to England instead.

Man City will reportedly pay starlet Rodri 250,000 euros per week to move to the Etihad Stadium and the player has been earmarked as a potential successor to currently preferred holding midfielder, Fernandinho.
