Manchester United reject loan bid for Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United have reportedly snubbed a loan approach from Palmeiras for the services of Chilean attacker Alexis Sanchez.
The Chile international has endured a frustrating spell since making the move to Old Trafford from Arsenal and he has notched just five goals from 45 games for the Red Devils.
Owing to this, he has been heavily linked with a summer departure from the Mancunian giants but Sport Witness claims that the club have rejected a temporary loan move made by Palmeiras.
The same publication claims that the Palmeiras are prepared to match the Red Devils' loan fee for the Chilean, although they are reluctant to pay more than half of the attacker's staggering £500,000-a-week wages.
Sanchez has more than three years remaining on his current deal with the club and United may find it difficult to sanction his sale this summer unless they are willing to offer the attacker with a huge payoff to leave the side.
