De Gea ready to sign new Manchester United deal

Manchester United are reportedly set to meet the wage demands of goalkeeper David de Gea and put a conclusion to the long-running contract saga.

The Spaniard has been in a contract standoff with the Red Devils in the past year where the club have been reluctant to match his demands for a £350,000-a-week deal.

However, according to The Sun, the Mancunian giants appear to have finally accepted to meet the player's expectations and they are prepared to hold talkswith his representative to finalise an extension.

De Gea has been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer but there has been no stage where he has demanded an exit from the Old Trafford outfit.

De Gea, who has been named the club's Player of the Year in four of the previous eight seasons, is likely to be handed with a fresh five-year deal to see out the prime years of his career with the side.
