United make fresh move for Milenkovic

Manchester United have reportedly made a renewed bid of £45m to secure the services of Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina this summer.

The Serbian was on the club's radar during the 2019 winter transfer window but their £36m bid was knocked back by La Viola.

According to The Star, the Red Devils have now made an improved £45m offer with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eager to add another central defender to the club's ranks.

United have been on the trail of Leicester City's Harry Maguire in the past few weeks and they are reported to have failed with an opening bid worth £70m for the defender.

The Red Devils have yet to make a fresh approach for the 26-year-old and Ole has recently hinted that the club won't be paying over the odds for any target this summer.

Owing to this, it appears that Milenkovic has re-emerged as a transfer target and it remains to be seen whether they can do business with Fiorentina for the 21-year-old.
