Arsenal open talks to sign Gremio winger
Arsenal have reportedly opened discussions with Gremio to secure the signature of Brazilian winger Everton Soares this summer.
The 23-year-old was one of the standout performers for Brazil during the recent Copa America tournament, and he contributed three goals and one assist in their title triumph.
As such, he has been linked with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United in recent weeks, and GloboEsporte claims that the Gunners could be ready to battle with the Premier League giants.
The north London club are on the hunt for a new wide attacking player for the summer and so far, they have found no success with a failed £40m approach for Wilfried Zaha.
Crystal Palace are understood to be demanding as much as £80m for the Ivory Coast international and it appears that the Gunners have shifted their attention towards landing a cheap alternative.
Arsenal have so far made the single signing in Gabriel Martinelli. The 18-year-old joined them from Brazilian minnows Ituano for a fee in the region of £6m.
