Arsenal make renewed £25m bid to sign Scottish star
Arsenal have reportedly made an improved offer worth £25m to secure the signature of defender Kieran Tierney from Celtic this summer.
The north London side had previously made a £15m bid for the left-back, but the Hoops are said to have swiftly rebuffed the package as it fell below their £25m asking price.
However, according to The Sun, the Gunners have now made a renewed offer whereby they have matched the £25m price tag for the Scotland international.
Should the deal go through, it would make it the record transfer in Scottish football, surpassing the £19.7m fee Lyon paid to land Moussa Dembele from the Hoops last summer.
Arsenal have been relatively quiet during the ongoing transfer window and they have made just one signing in the form of Gabriel Martinelli from Brazilian minnows Ituano.
They have been in discussions to pursue William Saliba from Saint-Etiene but the apparent interest from Tottenham Hotspur has meant that the proposed move has been delayed.
